The two works are part of a series of work with hair, both as theme and material, where each image is an abstract composition based on the colors, feelings and images I come up with when I think of a specific female artist. A project based on remembrance and synesthetic experiences. The images are built up layer upon layer with colored acrylic hair, and are titled with the first name of the artist being referred to. In this case, the painters Helen Frankenthaler and Harriet Backer.
